Abstract Botanical Course
Learn to paint a series of abstract botanical works in my gorgeous outdoor studio in Bundaberg. Over four weeks you will learn how to create abstract botanical artworks using mixed media painting techniques. This course is suitable for beginners and no painting experience is necessary.
Each participant will need to bring their own watercolours, brushes & visual diary. There are also art kits available for purchase for $50. They include an A5 journal, brushes, watercolour paint, liquid acrylic, paint pen, mini colour wheel and hand painted botanical tote bag.
Week1 - Introduction to mixed media, colour palettes, marking making & how to create abstract floral forms
Week 2 - Layering your work, blending, sgraffito, composition styles & background layers
Week 3 - Working on a larger scale, how to use paint pens and fluid acrylic to add details
Week 4 - Finishing larger scale works & advice on resolving artworks
